Gobblers will be on the Road, as well as the dinner table, Thanksgiving Day!   This 5K out-and-back road course brings back a Nags Head tradition and invokes nostalgia of the Nags Head Festival of Thanksgiving. 

Turkey Call is 8:00 am as Gobblers run/trot/walk on West Sea Chase Drive through the neighborhood roads of “The Village of Nags Head” to reach the Finish Line on Links Dr. Nags Head, NC.   

This event is a family and community event in the spirit and fellowship of the holiday.  The Outer Banks Running Club will operate its race clock for self-timing at the Finish Line.  There will be no official timing of this event.  Water Stop at Half-way mark. 

Thanksgiving Gifts will be presented to the first male, females, and youth finishing in order first to third as they cross the finish line, not by time.  The overall winner receives a pumpkin cheesecake, a 2010 Gobbler 5K race registration, and a gift certificate for a fully cooked turkey for their 2010 Thanksgiving dinner on the Outer Banks. 

Open to Runners, Walkers, Wheel Chair participants, and Stroller/Jogger Participants.  Prohibited: Bandits, Counterfeit Runners, Roller Blades, Skates, Scooters, Skateboards, Cycles, and Dogs (no pets).

Field Limit: 250

Registration is final.  No Refunds. No Transfers.

Packets not picked up may be provided to late registrants/volunteers.  Should any packets remain available for mailing, shipping costs will be incurred by the registrant.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we will be collecting canned goods/non-perishable food items for the local Food Banks.  We are thankful to live in the United States; to celebrate this holiday with family and friends on the Outer Banks; and to enjoy this morning running/walking in the crisp fall air.
