Come Join the Outer Banks Running Club

The 11th Outer Banks Team in Training for the December 2009 Kiawah Marathon and Half Marathon will form with an info and kickoff meeting July 8 at 6 pm in the Kill Devil Hills Library. Team in Training is the largest international fund raiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and is the largest endurance training program in the world. The local team is dedicating its season to Lori Campbell, who is battling Acute Myelogenous Leukemia.

We are a band of new runners who are just learning to walk/jog, and we are intermediate and veteran runners of all ages, sizes and shapes. The club is about camaraderie and fun and healthful activity for many members. For others it serves as a great training ground for competition in upcoming races.
